How to Fix a Flat Iron That Short Circuited

Almost all girls know the feeling of sinking when their iron stop working in a difficult time. If your iron turns off for an extended period for no apparent reason, makes sparks, or turns on when the device is stuck, there is a possibility that short-circuited. Fortunately, this problem is generally easy to solve. After learning these simple steps, no girl should force to leave the house with a ponytail.
Make sure that the power supply to the socket to which your device is connected switched off. Check the plug and plug for signs of brown or black discolouration. Look out for melted and exposed wires. Also, pay attention to the smell of burning material. If you notice any of these warning signs, contact an electrician to reduce the risk of electric shock or fire.
Remove the plug from the socket and wait a few seconds. If the iron has dropped or the power cord has been pulled too far, it may have come loose or unplugged.
It would be best if you restored the power supply to the socket. Put the iron back in the device. Press the red RESET button on the plug. Then press the yellow TEST button directly under RESET. The RESET button should appear. Press the RESET button again to restore power.
Set the iron’s power switch to ON and check that the small red LED indicator remains lit. If so, you have solved the short circuit problem. If not, there is probably a problem with the device itself, and you need to contact the manufacturer’s customer service. Read More
